CEO Letter - July 2025

As Agentic AI redefines the boundaries of automation and decision-making, businesses must rethink how they design and deploy cloud infrastructure. This article explores why hybrid and multi-cloud strategies are critical enablers of agentic systems - and how Deimos is helping organisations build secure, scalable, and AI-native environments to stay ahead.

As we enter the second half of 2025, one emerging theme dominates every conversation I have with industry leaders: Agentic AI. This isn’t just the next step in artificial intelligence - it’s a whole new way that businesses will interact with technology, how software will function, and how we design and use the cloud.

Agentic AI: More Than Generative AI

The term ‘Agentic AI’ refers to AI systems that can not only respond to requests but also make decisions and take actions on their own to achieve specific business goals. Instead of just producing text or answering questions like today’s AI tools, these systems can plan tasks, carry them out, monitor progress, and adjust as needed - all with minimal human intervention.

Here are a few real-world examples to bring it to life:

  • AI that automatically manages and reduces your cloud bills.
  • AI that monitors IT systems, spots problems early, and fixes them before you even notice.
  • AI that coordinates complicated business processes across different software platforms.
  • AI that helps negotiate contracts, manage supply chains, and keep global operations running smoothly.

But for this kind of AI to work well, it requires a completely new kind of cloud setup - one that’s extremely flexible, can work with multiple providers at once, and is always ready to adapt.

Why Agentic AI Demands Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Architectures

At Deimos, we've long championed Hybrid Cloud and Multi-Cloud strategies not as buzzwords but as resilient design principles. Agentic AI brings these strategies into sharp focus:

  • Data Localisation: Agentic systems need access to decentralised data across jurisdictions, making sovereign hybrid architectures critical.
  • Vendor Flexibility: No single cloud has all the right AI tooling. Leveraging best-of-breed services from Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Azure, and Huawei Cloud empowers organisations to optimise performance, cost, and capabilities.
  • Interoperability: Agentic AI agents will often coordinate multiple APIs, SaaS platforms, and cloud-native services that span providers. Multi-cloud is not optional; it’s foundational.
  • Resilience and Redundancy: Distributed agents executing business-critical tasks across cloud environments will demand resilient architectures capable of mitigating failure in real-time.

The Deimos Approach: Engineering for the Agentic Era

At Deimos, we’re preparing our clients to move beyond reactive AI adoption to deliberate AI-native cloud design:

Closing Thought: Autonomy Requires Discipline

Agentic AI will not eliminate the need for leadership, governance, or thoughtful engineering. In fact, it heightens it. The organisations that thrive in this next wave will be those that invest early in cloud foundations, hybrid architectures, and responsible AI oversight.

At Deimos, we are ready to guide our partners through this journey. Our multi-cloud expertise, engineering discipline, and pragmatic approach to AI adoption position us - and our clients - for sustainable advantage in the Agentic AI era.
