CEO Letter - June 2025

I’m writing to you after returning from a short, meaningful break on paternity leave — my wife and I recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into our lives. I want to extend heartfelt thanks to the incredible team at Deimos for their leadership during my time away. Their strength and clarity reminded me of something fundamental: great companies aren’t built on any one person. They’re built on trust, shared vision, and teams that rise together.

That reflection ties directly into a question I’ve been asked often in recent months by clients:

“What cloud strategy is right for my business? Should we go Single Cloud, Multi-Cloud, and/or Hybrid?”

It’s a deceptively simple question, but the answer isn’t universal.

The Cloud Strategy Dilemma: Flexibility vs. Simplicity

Cloud adoption has matured. Gone are the days when a “cloud-first” mantra was enough. Today, successful businesses ask: What kind of cloud strategy aligns with our risk profile, compliance requirements, and growth plans?

We see organisations at all stages of this journey:

• Some opt for the simplicity of a single cloud to streamline operations.
• Others embrace multi-cloud to pick best-of-breed services across vendors.
• Many are turning to hybrid approaches, blending on-prem and public cloud to meet regulatory, performance or cost-efficiency needs.

Here’s the truth: While I personally believe a hybrid-multi-cloud model offers the greatest long-term agility and resilience, it’s not the right fit for everyone. Your decision should be driven by your business, not hype.

Start With Strategy, Not Technology
